Overall Opinion: DownThemAll solves the problem of downloading multiple files at once on a single page by harvesting them all in a single interface. The extension is only available for the FireFox browser, but it is the best extension for downloading multiple files no matter what browser you prefer to use. It's entirely free to install, and it has open source code, so you can see what the code is doing if you're so inclined. It also supports a handy pause and resume feature for browser downloads, which can be a godsend if you're on a spotty connection. It's perfect for harvesting images from a page, such as if you want to keep copies of pictures from Facebook or wallpapers you find on the internet. The bulk download feature also supports advanced auto-renaming so that you can keep files in a sequence properly named with your sequential convention instead of what the file creator called it. The filtering options also make it useful for finding exactly the file you want to download. The extension spiders the whole page for download links to files and images when you run it, and from there, you can select which files you want to download without a lot of hassle. You can also block files by their file extension, so if you never want to harvest images on a page, they're pretty easy to block. Overall, DownThemAll is one of the best extensions you can add to FireFox to enhance your browsing experience. It's a shame the developers haven't considered expanding to support other browsers, but given the free and open-source nature, it's no surprise that they're only supporting FireFox at this time.

Pros: Completely free and open source Allows you to download multiple files at once Features pause and resume for downloads Keep all your downloads in one place More granular control over the data you download

Cons: Only available for Firefox, no other browser supported Can be a bit resource intensive while downloading Software appearance is a bit out-dated
