Overall Opinion: FileHippo is one of the best downloading sites available. It offers so many programs that it would be nearly impossible to sort through all of them, but somehow the site manages to keep all of them up to date and checks to make sure that none of them exist with malicious intent. FileHippo is set up in a very simple way that allows you to search for certain programs on your own or browse through its many categories to find what you need. On the main page of FileHippo you can find a very long and thorough thread of news related to tech industries, so you can get use out of FileHippo as a news site even if there are no programs that you are looking to download at the time.

Pros: FileHippo offers a huge library of programs that you can choose from. There are more programs available on FIleHippo than you could possibly put on your computer. FileHippo goes through each site that it features and makes sure that it is legitimate and does not exist solely for malicious purposes, so you do not have to worry about downloads from FileHippo acting up down the road. Even if you are not looking to download any software, you can browse through FileHippo's homepage to keep yourself up to date on all of the latest tech news.

Cons: There are some programs that you may need on your computer that are not featured on FileHippo for a variety of reasons. For those downloads you will have to go elsewhere to find them.. There is potential for a program that you downloaded on FileHippo to receive an update later on that changes its purpose and the program could then potentially act with malicious intent. There are glaring gaps in the content covered in the news on FileHippo's news page. While this does not affect downloads, it can be troubling if perusing the site for entertainment.
