Overall Opinion: Toxic community through and through. If you have a different opinion on anything you are chastised, downvoted met with replies of childish insults. Reading through it's just one giant circle jerk of people patting themselves on the back or agreeing with each other often on political posts which they have a minor understanding of with the majority being non-Americans posting about American politics. And there's the creepy posts of females and mass perversion while the site claims to be safe. This sites community is nothing more than Amoral fascists acting like high moral douche bags masquerading from post to post in self righteousness while being stuck in a loop of nothing but crappy posts about politics, cats and puppies and the occasional completely fabricated sob story. Stay away from this site at all costs, if you a toxic community just use 4chan but using either is saying a lot about your mental health.
Pros: Good place to store short videos/gifs and photos.
Cons: Toxic community Posts are similar to each other constantly Admins are corrupt and biased towards certain users. Full of creeps. Men and women. Pretty much almost everything is a con.
Overall Opinion: Those who want to feel as though they are a part of a larger community can look forward to hopping on Imgur any time they want to catch up with the latest news. Imgur is one of the most interactive online image-sharing communities, available with a full suite of comprehensive features that can provide users with everything they need to enjoy seamless functionality on any subject. The broad variety of different sub-sections on the website allows individuals to connect to the topics that they are most interested in, and there is a handy favorite system that makes it easy for anybody to keep up with their favorites.
Pros: Those who are interested in hosting their own images do not need to worry about making an account, as anybody can hop on and start uploading images as desired. Once the images are up, individuals do not have to worry about them disappearing, as they are up indefinitely and only removed upon request from the original poster. The upload interface is extremely easy to use, as individuals can simply hop on to the website and drag and drop whatever they want to have uploaded. The interactive galleries allow users to browse through their favorite content and favorite them for later viewing, making it easier to keep track of their favorite links and pictures on a regular basis. An active comments section and large, growing community allows individuals to use the website as a social platform as much as one of practical image uploading and sharing. A handy compression system allows individuals to upload images, gifs and videos at sizes of up to 200 megabytes for sharing of all types of media.
Cons: Does not support all file types during uploads, and it may take a bit of practice to figure out what can be readily made available on the website. When Imgur receives a particularly high amount of traffic, it can be difficult for the servers to deal with the load, and there may be wait times for all users.
Overall Opinion: Very popular image sharing service that everyone seems to use by default. It gets the job done. You have to be logged in to share an image so it does not allow for sharing images without being logged in
Pros: works everytime and is very popular.
Cons: Toxic community and they can flag your image for any silly reason. A better and simpler imgur alternative would be to use http://picc.io
