Overall Opinion: There aren't many other video editing apps out there that are as comprehensive and cost-effective as iMovie. The app is free for those who use any Apple device, and it includes some of the most useful editing tools in the video category. Every piece of video content you have is easily organized and sorted through various metrics for easy searching, and you can share entire clips or short segments of a single clip with ease. One of the most fun aspects of the software is its ability to produce video trailers in a Hollywood theme. The software includes templates in nearly 30 configurations, and they all include amazing music scores and beautiful visual graphics. You can customize the video credits, cast, and studio logos. You can take video from nearly any HD source and edit it directly in this app. That means any footage from your GoPro, iPhone 6S or newer, or any UltraHD camera can be edited with iMovie. If you want to create action shots with more vibrancy and smoother motion, you can use the software to edit footage captured at 60 frames per second with resolutions of 1080p. Once a project has been started on one device, you can easily import it to your other Apple devices to finish it elsewhere. You can add various elements to make your movie the best it can be, like travel maps and 3D globes to indicate a change of scene. There are also numerous transitions and title effects you can use. The action can be put into slow motion or fast forward to fit the scene, and you can even produce green screen effects. With the single-click Enhance button, you can instantly optimize the audio and visual quality of any video clip. The color controls are easy to use so you can boost the video with vibrant color. If the video is shaky, you can stabilize it with this software as well. When your videos are complete, you can view them through the integrated iMovie Theater. You can also view content from the iMovie Theater on your HD television set if you have an Apple TV device. If you are signed in to iCloud through iMovie, you can send videos that you have created to any friends or family that you like using Mail Drop. You can also upload content directly to YouTube at resolutions up to 4K. You can do the same thing with Vimeo and Facebook.
