Overall Opinion: With its many features, ease of use, and free download, Kik is viewed as one of the greatest messaging apps. Kik is also wonderful due to the fact that it is a multi-platform application, making communication a possibility for users who may not have access to a phone, but do have a computer. Though there are a few disadvantages to using the app such as receiving messages from strangers, with a bit of caution on the user's end this app can work amazingly.

Pros: Free to Use There are many people in the world who can not afford to pay a monthly fee to keep their phone service up and running. Using Kik as an alternative provides users the ability to communicate with the people around them, without having to make any sacrifices. Multi-Platform Application Alongside the many people in the world who cannot afford phone service, there are many people who don't even have phones. Kik is an application that can be used on tablets, iPods, phones, and even computers, making communication available to anyone with an internet connection. Easy to Communicate Due to its wide database of users, free download, multi-platform abilities, and user-friendly interface, Kik is certainly one of the easiest ways to communicate in our fast-paced world.

Cons: Able to Connect with Strangers This could be seen as a pro or a con depending on the features use. The ability to connect with strangers could be a fun way to meet new people, however, it is best to use this feature with extreme caution. Please note this application is rated for users 17 and older due to the possibility of being exposed to some explicit content.
