MyFitnessPal Reviews
We have 7 reviews for MyFitnessPal. The average overall ratings is 2.2 / 5 stars.
Overall Opinion: Horrible, crashes, doesn't connect, step tracking hasn't worked in weeks. Won't down load on samsung watch. Bottom line useless. Only reply you ever get is uninstall and install, what a joke. Deleting account and uninstalling.
Pros: Nothing nice to say about the app.
Cons: See above! Deleting account and uninstalling for good.
Overall Opinion: In terms of the convenience of using this app, it is absolutely the worst performing app I have ever encountered. Some 4 years ago it worked reasonably well, but as the app went more commercial (setting out to make even more money for its owners) with adverts and several geeky but irrelevant updates, has made it become mega in need of processing power and so very slow. Almost every entry has to be communicated with the app servers, so massive slow down. The slowest and worst performing app ever. Choose a better app before your data ties you to this MFP app.

Overall Opinion: A profoundly bad app, but unfortunately it has the best nutrition database going. * The layout is fine. * The free version bombards you with ads AND removes features. * The fully-featured (and ad-free) version is crazy expensive. * The performance is appalling * The battery consumption keeps going up and down (right now it's destroying my phone battery life) * The data consumption is ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE! If you don't turn off background data, you can kiss your data plan goodbye. If you *DO* turn off background data, you'll reduce it to "only" use a bit over 1GB/month. * The nutrition database is very comprehensive, except that there is no vetting of user entries. * There is also no requirement for standardized units in the database. Think about that: A gig a month is the MINIMUM that will be consumed by this slow, buggy, terrible, restricted, ad-saturated app. In short, find something else. I am.

Overall Opinion: I’ve used this app/we site on and off for years. It always worked well and was pretty easy to use. My main complaint was the inaccurate food listings submitted by users (complete with typos in the searchable name). Synchronization with the FitBit was always glitchy but each one blamed it on the other. But when UnderArmour took it over, the ads got very intrusive and annoying. And today, after not using the app for awhile, I tried to enter a Quick Add by putting in nutritional information from a recipe my wife had saved in LoseIt, and discovered that adding an item’s nutritional information is now a “premium feature” and no longer available in the free version. As if the constantly exploding clutter of ads isn’t bad enough, now they’re crippling features that the app used to have. I’ve had it. There has to be something better out there.

Overall Opinion: Bad app. While installed it drained my battery 1 percent every minute. Tried to deactivate using developer mode, but the app kept activating itself back. Had no choice but to uninstall.

Overall Opinion: I've been in it almost since its start. I went on off due to the lack of data. One time was a great surprise when a database was entered. A scanner was added for barcodes. Item may be in the system but not all the data. I'd search for other users that may have corrected it. If I did something similar, it was optional to share it. Not used it in a while. At first it seemed normal, the chart from Protein down to Iron is still there, along with calories/ weight. No more data entry and other stuff thanks to this 'Premium'... Oh yes, the add-on of adds! Get a better app or just a workout place.

Overall Opinion: This is a beneficial app for anyone who wants to lose weight or who wants to just be healthy. It's easy to use and offers updates and notifications when you exceed the number of calories set for the day or when you should change something in your diet. Enter everything that you eat during the day to see the number of calories that are in each ingredient and the total calories for the meal. This gives you a way to see on a screen how many calories you really consume. You can set a limit for the number of calories that you want to eat during the day depending on what you want to do with your body, such as weight loss or maintaining a healthy weight. You can see how many calories are in each meal that you eat. There is also a balance of the number of calories that you have left to consume for the day. There are over 6 million foods in the database of the app, so you don't have to worry about something that you're eating not being recorded or found. You can take a picture of the barcode of the item you're eating or a picture of the actual product if you don't want to type the information. You can sync the information from the app with other apps that you enjoy so that you gain better control of the foods you eat, the calories you consume and the exercises you perform. Create recipes with healthy foods, and view some of the healthy recipes that are online so that you know how many calories you're eating.
Pros: Track calories Customize your day with food and exercise details Get nutrition tips
Cons: Doesn't allow for entering specific ingredients that are used sometimes Performance updates are slow
