phpMyAdmin Reviews
We have 2 reviews for phpMyAdmin. The average overall ratings is 4.5 / 5 stars.
Overall Opinion: I've been using for many year. It covers my database management needs without issues. I honestly don't feel the urge to switch to another tool. The UI may look a bit old, but it works.
Pros: -
Cons: -
Overall Opinion: Managing a database is a complex task that has certainly been made easier with MySQL, which is often considered the most user-friendly data storage format and is the most widely used. phpMyAdmin is nearly synonymous with MySQL, as it's been used to manage the databases for nearly as long as they have existed. phpMyAdmin is old and seasoned software that covers all MySQL server management functions. The software is free, and the team behind it strongly advocates for free and open technology.
Pros: The software is completely free, and donations can be made on their website. Large yearly donations (above $1,000) are eligible for a form of sponsorship on the website as thanks for the contribution Since phpMyAdmin is a member of the Software Freedom Conservancy, which is a not for profit organization, donors can almost always deduct the donation from their taxes Donors can also use Flattr or PayPal to contribute, or mail checks to their address A live, web version of the product is always online for users to try Large amount of documentation is available for this widely used program Stable and flexible due to its maturity
Cons: This is a general, free program, and users who need a more specific approach to MySQL management might benefit from other software
