Overall Opinion: The older versions were better before Encore took over. I have been using various versions since version 10. I upgraded from 10 to 12 then 12 to 19 then, recently, to the Architecture V20. The more they try and "improve" the worse it gets. It randomly crashes causing hours of work to go out the window. When you open a older versions file to make a minor change as soon as you go to save it the program crashes and destroys the file and makes it totally worthless. My suggestion is to save often and use a different file name each time. They told me it was my computer so I tried another. They blamed the video card, I bought a new one. Nothing stops it from doing random things that destroy the file. I am beyond the 30 day period and I felt I wasted $200 on the Upgrade to V19 and another $249 to architecture V20. Not counting $700 on new computer parts that changed nothing.

Overall Opinion: Whether you're looking to build a new home from scratch, transform your back yard, or improve your existing property with a new addition or renovation, Punch! Software offers accessible and easy to use tools that can help you get the job done. The Punch! Software catalog includes home design, interior design, and landscape design suites for use on Mac, PC, and mobile devices, and you can mix and match the software titles to make a package that suits your individual needs. With its drag and drop interface and wide range of products and textures to choose from, it's a tool simple enough for an amateur designer but with a deep enough tool kit to meet the demands of a seasoned design professional. With products that come in Essential, Premium, Professional, and Architectural editions, everyone's sure to find a product that's suited to their practical demands and their skill set. Creating your design begins with Punch! Software's two dimensional drafting tools. The drafting tool kit draws from traditional CAD formatting to create living spaces that take into account all three dimensions. You can change elevations to make complicated arrangements, and the product comes packaged with a wide variety of textures and products so that you can test out specific looks before you see them in action. Users have full control of an extensive selection of qualities like saturation, brightness, highlights, and gamma correction. You can draw from template products like cabinets or use the material editor to create your own customized designs and integrate them into your building plan. Clear and simple symbols let you quickly identify features, and you can even create your own symbols to help you more quickly earmark design components that are important to you. Punch! understands the diversity of landscape design, and that's why they provide a wide range of plants in customizable sizes. Door mounting, double door, and shutter tools let you replicate the look and technical complications that come from more advanced features like French doors. This is all complemented by Sketchup Import which automatically converts existing files and sketches and integrates them into the Punch! design system. Once you've completed your interior or exterior design, Punch! Software will automatically convert it into a three dimensional representation so you can get a more nuanced perspective on what the final product will look like. Whether you're looking to design your own home or prototype a prospective design to your clients, it's a great way to help you visualize the property in question. The 3D component allows you to mock up virtual walkthroughs, control cutaways to give you a vast selection of control over your perspective, and pan through the environment at your leisure.
Pros: Wide variety of products let you scale your software to match your individual needs Intuitive interface allows you to start working on your design right away Versatile symbols make it easy to tag important features
Cons: Doesn't allow infrastructural design of elements like plumbing or electrical wiring Users can't upload their own colors or materials Process of rendering textures can be slow
