Overall Opinion: Serviio is nr 1 not 1 of the mentioned alternatives comes anything near Serviio, I been part of it since its birth and have tried them all but always go back is a fast and very very reliable serviio, it is simple and has extremely user friendly menu rather than fx "Universal Media Server" whats up with that? Slow and very very poorly running is almost a halse just to get into it. Never had problems I couldnt solve myselfe with Serviio but problem is to many tries to much and post bad reviews and pointless guides without having enough knowledge to be able to say your problem is the same I had and this is how it is solved. And I could go on but I wont :) because is pointless haha Serviio just rocks and will never bee beaten by these poorly alternatives sorry my opinion now stop blaming Serviio for your OWN mistakes remember your Computer / Mac only does what you tell it to do YOU Give the commands one way or the other it is that simple.
