Overall Opinion: Yelp is helpful for finding when places are nearby and open, but their Star rating system is flawed and should be disregarded. They hide many of the reviews and the ratings given are not averaged into the overall score.

Overall Opinion: The Yelp app is useful for discovering new places in your area. The user interface is well designed and easy to use, and the search function includes a ton of filters to make it easy to find what you are looking for. The app also allows you to find local businesses and important information when you are on the go. You can also choose to post a review and photos after you visit a business. The Monocle feature of the app is a unique augmented reality mode that provides important information and ratings about the business that your camera is pointing to. One of the downsides of this feature is you cannot always view all of the information on your screen.

Pros: Contains a ton of ratings and reviews from other users The Monacle augmented reality function helps you find highly rated businesses in a new place by simply pointing your camera at a location The user interface is easy to use and well-designed Allows you to access important information about a business, such as hours, location and phone number, while on the go Gives you the option to submit a review and photos directly on the app

Cons: The Monocle function sometimes crams too much information onto one screen, making it hard to read Reviews by other users are subjective so you need to decide how much stock to put into them Tips about businesses are hard to find
